"Barockes Dreamteam... Nirgends wird Effekthascherei betrieben, nirgendwo werden Tempi zu stark forciert oder dynamische Kontraste unnötig aufgeblasen. Stattdessen dominieren eine makellose Intonation, sehr gute Textverständlichkeit und vor allem eine größtmögliche Homogenität.

Alle Sologesänge werden – wie immer bei Vox luminis – von Mitgliedern des Ensembles selbst bestritten, überdies funktioniert das Zusammenspiel mit den Instrumentalisten von Masques hervorragend. Schöner als in dieser sanft und geschmackvoll vergoldeten Form kann man Buxtehude kaum aufführen." Bernhard Schrammek, Kulturradio.

"...The group has a soft-edged, transparent sound, & the performance was flowing & numinous. The sopranos had lustrous high notes that seemed to sail through the air. Even though there was just one or two singers per part, the performers managed to make a distinction between chorus sections, with the voices blending, & solo passages, with individual voices standing out. I liked the easeful, sustainable tempos, which never pushed the music..."

Ready to go for the Finale of Berkeley Festival & Exhibition with our favorite cantatas by Buxtehude, JC Bach, Pachelbel and JS Bach. Happy and honoured to sing the last concert of the last festival of Robert Cole as Artistic Director, the man who offered us our USA debut back in 2014!

Felt good to be back at First Congregational Church Of Berkeley yesterday for JS Bach motets concert at Berkeley Festival & Exhibition. One more to go , the « Finale » featuring D. Buxtehude , JC Bach, J. Pachelbel and well JS Bach of course 🙂

Our new CD with Ensemble Masques is about to be released on Alpha Classics / Outhere Music. Quite a timing since we will exactly at that time perform the 2 largest cantatas of this recording in USA with instrumentalists from the Berkeley Festival & Exhibition for the final concert of the 2018 edition: 10th June 2018. see you there!
